Too late to start photoperiods?

This is my first outdoor grow. I started a handful of autos a month and a half ago that have been outside since and should be ready to harvest within a few weeks. I guess I didn’t realize that outdoor photoperiod plants started flowering right after the summer solstice, once the days get considerably shorter. I thought the daylight and nighttime hours must get to 12/12 to start flowers. I didn’t want to start my photoperiods to early and end up with a bunch of massive trees on my hands. So my question is this, if I start some outdoor photoperiods now, will they get big enough to have a decent yield?

You could pull some weight off one still. Didn’t hurt to give it a try
