Of course I’m getting conflicting info surfing around so I’m here to ask you guys because all of the advice I’ve gotten so far is spot on from here! What is the reason to hang the plants upside down to dry?
I just found Robert’s article
Soooo how’s it hangin?
waaaaayy back in the day… when the growers harvested they actually pulled the entire plant and hung it upside down… at the time I was told they do this because the plant stores THC in the roots and hanging it allows more THC to flow down into the plant as it dries.
apparently modern science says that is not correct.
my “guess” is it allows moisture to leave the plant with less opportunity for mold and such… which is why it is also considered acceptable to lay your buds out on an net drying rack instead of hanging. If you sit your buds on a tray for example,…excess moisture will pool to the lowest point and then have no way to escape…creating wet spots and opportunities for mold. But that is just a guess.
