Tips of new leaves

Hey, this is my first time growing marijuana and I am 2 weeks into the flowering stage and noticed the tips of the new leaves are yellow. Only about 1/8 inch of each tip. Just wondering if this is normal or the start of a problem. I am using a 1000w led and I have been raising it the same distance as the plant has been reaching. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Looks like nitrogen toxicity. Do you know your runoff PPM?

Thanks for the reply @MidwestGuy

I just ordered a ph and ppm tester and should be here today. Will post results when I get them. I am using all natural organic materials for nutrients. Worm castings, coffee grind tea, brewers yeast, wood ash, compost from my vegetable garden and banana tea.

Kind of surprising. We usually see that type of tip burn associated with the use of salt based fertilizers.

Is this something to worry about or only if it gets worse? It seems to only be affecting the very tips of new growth and all the other fan leaves are a healthy green right to the tip.

I would check your PPM and go from there. A few burned leaf tips isn’t going to hurt her. I would get the issue resolved before it becomes more serious.

I’m a bit out of my element here giving advice on an organic grow. Let’s get someone with more experience with organic. @Myfriendis410 or @Covertgrower can we please get this person hooked up with an experienced organic grower?

Exactly what light are you using.

What organic soil

Intake or exhaust? You need to have air moving through the space.

How many plants, how large a grow space etc.

What Organic soil

Made myself with a mix of compost from my veg garden, vermiculite, peat moss some worm castings

I just have a fan at one of the bottom vents pointed up at another and I can feel it pulling some air in and blowing out the top

How many plants, how large a grow space etc.

2x4 grow tent 1 plant

I just watered with distilled water ph 7 and the run off is 6.8, also the ppm is 4800

No data on the light: assuming it’s around 200 watts at the wall (the only meaningful data from that style light) which is likely to be inadequate. Make sure both switches are on. FYI you will need at least 400 plug watts to properly flower out that space.

Your organic soil is going to cause you issues due to lack of PH buffering of the soil. Runoff shows very high salt amounts so no supplements.

Pictures in white light will show the plant: can’t see anything under the blurple.

It would be wise to pick up a decent inline fan as cannabis likes lots of air. Plan to exchange all of the air every 2 minutes. It’s really necessary.

That’s why tips of new leaves are discolored.

Thanks @Myfriendis410 I will look into getting a fan and filter now and a different light for my next grow, the mars hydro 2000 thats long and skinny looks better, would u suggest that? I am planning to do another ph and ppm test tomorrow i read up a lot more on it and I cleaned my bottom tray cuz it was dirty and i read that will effect ppm.
