Tip of bud is white. Is something wrong?

This is only my second grow. During harvest, the rest of the plant is fine and green but some of the buds (all bottom buds) are light in color and even white on the top. This plant was a little denser than previous grows so is the white just where light couldn’t reach or is something wrong like mold? Should I have let this plant go longer? Top buds had lots of amber trichomes but these don’t look quite done. Thanks

Looks like light bleaching. What light(s) are you using and how close to the plant to it?

I’m using Mars Hydro TS 1000. This plant was compact so it was quite a few feet from the lamp. These were the bottom buds on the plant. The buds that actually got more light looked just fine. Can they be light in color due to not getting enough light?

Let’s tag some good growers who may have seen it before. I haven’t seen it outside of light bleaching.

A pic of the whole plant will be helpful, as would a completed support ticket.

This is the plant before I harvested.

That all looks reasonable. Let’s see what dbrn32 and myfriendis410 have to say when they come around.

My first guess would have been the same. If not light related I would suspect root zone ph maybe got out of whack or some sort of stress event would cause this.

I think the light effect is correct. The shape of the bud indicates lighting was too intense.
I have a ts1000 as well and it needs to be higher up than you think. Perhaps because of the short spacing of the leds on the panel even tho they are not the best diodes.
When you see buds shaped this way you have too suspect too much light.
Lots of foxtailing too if you look close.

These were shielded from the light and never got loaded up with chlorophyll. You see it on bigger plants as well.
