I have three Indica Blueberry Kush autoflowers, their predicted harvest date is May 10th. All three have 3 to 4 pointed leaves, with some 5 pointed leaves. Is this just a weird genetic variation?
All three plants look and are flowering differently from each other, one looks almost ready to harvest compared to the other two, but all have the same leaf structure. All look healthy, using Jack’s 3-2-1 nutrients with nothing else.
The two photoperiod Red Headed Strangers in the back all have normal 5 pointed leaves - I’ve only interrupted the night cycle 2 times so far, these leaves were like this even in the vegetative stage. Light cycle is 12.25 hours of 1000 watt HPS light and 11.75 night with absolutely no light getting into the room.
I grew 3 crinkle cut autos and 2 of them basically only had 3 finger uneven leafs like that and the 3rd was more normal looking.
The ones with odd leafs was alot smaller and not good bud structure, but was still covered in trichomes
I think its genetics, probably a ruderalis trait popping out
I will be growing more photos then autos, but I like the flexibility of autos with not needing darkness, and where we do alot of eatables and concentrates.
Any that turn out “not so nice” just gets added to trim or given away.
I definitely don’t depend on auto harvest.
The auto genetics are getting more stable though from what they was in the past…
Cool. So far this is my third try with autos. The first worked out great with them on the back porch in the summer. Last time one was terrible out of two. This time one is perfectly dense and looks almost ready even though it’s not, the other two may or may not be good by the end.
Last grow my autos were ready by trichome microscope standards (just turning from clear to cloudy and only a few amber) exactly to the day I predicted - 60 days after noticable white pistils appear on top bud sites. I guess we will see.
