Thoughts on chopping in the dark

Whats the deal with chopping in the dark? Benefits?

I have done dark chops and light chops and honestly I cannot tell the difference. I really don’t think it matters.

There are growers on here that have a record of knowing lights out vs on in a blind taste test. I personally can’t tell a difference. I do chop with the lights off still

I don’t recommend using sharp tools in the dark to start with!

I’ve done it both ways and didn’t notice any difference in taste.

As we dry in the dark already, the 48 hour darkness is redundant. No need IMHO. The plant won’t change much if at all.
