They start budding when they’re only ‘bout 10 in tall

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

I’m a newbie on indoor growing. I grow awesome plants outdoors but indoors is kicking me in the pants! Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong… they start budding when they’re only ‘bout 10 in tall…HELP

Are they autos? What’s your indoor light schedule? Are they being grown in a tent, open room, basement, etc?

Feminized on a 12/12 light schedule in a grow closet

A 12/12 light schedule will push photo plants to flower. Try an 18/6 schedule until they’re the size you want, then switch to 12/12 to begin flowering. If they’ve just begun flowering you can still change to 18/6 and they will revert back to veg without too much stress.

That’s the flowering light cycle, which is why your plants are in flower. :slightly_frowning_face:

Thanks I’ll change that immediately

Keep them at anything 18+hrs of light per 24 hr period. Once you go below 16hrs of light, you could trigger your plant to flower, but at 12hrs of light or less, you’ll definitely start flowering.

You also don’t want to interrupt the dark cycle with light, b/c that can make the plant act-up & do something…like hermying.

Shall I pinch the the tiny buds that were starting now that I changed the lighting

That’s a good question. @hogmaster @Countryboyjvd1971

Too late to change back. Best to flower them out.

If you revert photo period to 18/6; It will take at least a month to reveg the plant and go through veg again. Best to start some new beans and start over. Let the plants in flower finish and test your smoke. Good Luck, lw

@latewood no disrepect but im a new grower would swithing back to veg lights be similar to monster cropping

White widdow autos, on day 47 of 18/6 and still no sign of flowering. How long should I wait to see pre flowers? Plants are over 2ft tall.

**Ok I’ll take your advise

I’m new to indoor growing and am still learning

You’re just short of 7 weeks, so from what I see on assorted sites the flowering can start after 7 weeks so you could see signs any day now.

Some pics would be handy though, just in case there’s something up that someone here might notice.

Drop your autos light schedule to 12 on 12 off they seem to grow a lot better with 12 hours of sleep

I will post a few pics later, thanks

If I switch to 12/12 to help initiate flowering and am successful, should I leave them under 12/12 or go back to 18/6? Never done Auto’s so I’m not sure what to do.

I do mine from start to finish 12 on 12 off first two weeks I’ll do 24 hours or 18 six
