The ongoing grow

Me too! I tried chantix around 10 years ago and I had some of the weirdest dreams and it put me in the worst mood I’ve ever been in…that stuff is poison

@HappyHydroGrower yes the dreams were nutty!

I fought tobacco my entire adult life: quit for 5 years then pick it up again. It didn’t help that I worked in the cigar industry. I tried vaping and that finally did the trick for me. I’m off of everything now and my lungs appreciate it for sure. Especially where we are now: 7,000 feet up!

Go to vape shop and pick up a couple of disposables. Something like posh plus xl or breeze plus. Whatever they have in flavor thst looks appealing. Leave your cigarettes at home or some place inconvenient, then try to get by on the vape. If it works out you can look into one of the refillable units similar to what’s posted above. But no sense in getting all setup without trying first.

I will be a year cigarette free next month. Once you can by on the vape you can slowly reduce nicotine content. If you get to zero nicotine it just becomes a matter of having something to do, which is indeed the hardest part for most. My wife had quit smoking 4 years ago, but would occasionally have one if someone around her was smoking. She hasn’t had one since I quit, but when she is stresses she will hit my vape. I don’t have the heart to tell her there isn’t any nicotine in it lol.

That’s kind of funny if you stop to consider that. Zero nicotine, and she thinks she’s getting what she needs.

@DefNSmokn congratulations on going that long, I know opiates are the worst to break the hold of you. I’m so glad that you’re still here when many still struggle.

So many of my friends relatives struggled with opiates for years. On and off. The struggle is real in this country. Personally I feel cannabis is a much more effective medication than anything big pharma manufacturers.

If it wasn’t for cannabis, I’d be dead or in jail. I celebrated 10 years clean of opiates on May 1, 2020. A lot of people I know didn’t make it out like I did. I am grateful to be where I am today

@MattyBear I myself can thank cannabis for helping me get off opiates 11 years ago…its done wonders!

Wow! @Joshmcginnis28 @DefNSmokn @Myfriendis410 @MattyBear @kaptain3d @dbrn32 @Covertgrower
I am amazed at the input and thoughtfulness for everybody’s input. I didn’t mean to highjack with this topic. I’ve contemplated starting a thread about vapes. I really appreciate y’all’s support. Smokes are killing me, coughing wise. They did find a spot on my lungs about two weeks ago. But, I guess it’s not bad enough cause they told me to come back in a year. Go figure.
Thanks again!

Hopefully it’s just as they are expecting or better.

@HappyHydroGrower I quit cigarettes when my first kid was born by smoking a whole lot of joints and chewing on cocktail straws…this was in the time before vapes, so I did what I could!

Edit: also helps my wife gave me an ultimatum too

Way I see it was a thoughtful civil discussion. No worries here. Sometimes the best conversations come from off topic, but indirectly related. This fits here. This is what this community is about, and more places like this, need to exist.

@HappyHydroGrower I’m happy we could start a healthy and relaxed conversation, I only wish to provide everyone with the best data and research available be it growing or with addiction.
I know can see alot of people here have had side effects from champex but everyone’s body’s are different, the research has showed only what I have shared and it does help many many people.
Quiting is a process, everytime you try to quit you increase your chances of quiting forever!

I agree with @dbrn32 go with the disposables at first.

Look at all the amazing support here, that really warms my heart.
