Day 3: still looking good. Thinking we will see our second set of leaves tomorrow.
Seem a little leggy so we lowered the light to 24 inches.
Baggies still on. Have given each bag about a spray or two each yesterday. This morning #4 bag was dry so gave it another spray.
Soil still seems pretty moist. Will check again tomorrow.
Looks about a day ahead of our last grow. Last grow didn’t start stalling till around day 5. They definitely stalled due to overwatering. Taking notes totally helps.
Day 4: Time for a drink! Woke up and girls a little droopy and cups almost dry.
moistened soil with 6.2 ph water
topped soil off to help support stems. Moistened that soil. Girls haven’t gotten too much length since we lowered the light so think we are good.
second set of leaves haven’t come in yet so in that perspective these new girls are on par with the last attempt. However, they are probably double in size. Woot.
baggies still on. #4 seems to need some sprays in her bag 1-2 times a day.
Day 5: looking good. Slightly droopy. Just watered yesterday and after watering I saw them very perky. Especially #2. Any thoughts on why they are droopy today? Or is this normal?
saw tiny tips of new leaves yesterday and today they are coming in on all 4.
Light (400w LED): 18 hours, 25%, 24 inches
Temps (yesterday): Day 77, Night 71.5
Water: None but humidity in baggies and about a spray or 2 a day if needed.
You got it all dialed in, that is one of the most difficult stages… getting through the seedling stage without drowning them. I transplanted these 3 at day 14 and their in day 7 of veg today
Your plants look beautiful. I see you too have a camera in your grow tent. We use our sons old baby video camera and the quality is nothingggg compared to yours. I think I may need to upgrade. Like all hobbies, I always want some better tool lol. Happy growing!
Day 6: man am I proud mama! Their father and I are still together but he seems to think he can take a back seat to parenting. I told him the rewards will be mine to own and dole out as I seem fit…. ah power!
aim to keep tent at 77/78 so going to try to maintain that today.
growing fast (see last pic). I’m thinking they will be wider than the cups sooner than 2 weeks. Maybe they will start growing more up and less wide?
feel like they gained some more height (see pic in next post). I know the baggies are diffusing some light so lowering them probably won’t cause much harm right? I’m scared to test it lol.
Oh also, no gnats today so far! Got the mosquito dunks and asked opinions today in Grow Support on best way to use. So if I see them again then I will mostly likely use the watering method next water.
Looking phenomenal n there Grow Sis! Good idea on the temps, young seedling and about a week in veg like it warm 78-82. You’ll notice a growth stall if they’re cold. Once into veg and the roots are good and established the cooler temps are ideal
Thank you kind grower. We are already up to 78. The temps here in northern VA have been crazy, which is typical during season change. Last two days were 95ish and today it’s 71 . Even though I have a newer house with 2-zone central air, the outside temp still seems to impact my grow tent temperature. House temp seems stable.
Just had to share a pic of my largest girl with her full wingspan. I’m really feel like they will outgrow the solos before 2 weeks. It’s really satisfying.
Everyone said seedling stage is the hardest, but I really feel like they are “set and forget”. I mean I check a couple times a day to make sure the baggies haven’t collapsed or the gnats haven’t re-emerged or that they arent dry. I guess it’s a hard stage as they don’t have much strength to rebound from mistakes?
