I was contemplating flushing (how to keep the pan from overflowing) while the plants were in a SCROG and came up with this. A 1.5 gal/min water pump, a 12VDC, 60w power supply, a switch, and some tubing.
A wet vacuum for the drain pans for about $30.

You guys ever see those “bucket head” vacs? Home Depot has them. It’s a wet/dry vacuum head that is made to specifically fit on a 5 gal bucket. I have one for cleaning out the sump for my reef tank. I think it was $20. Works pretty well.
