A question from a fellow grower:

I have a T5 HO light fixture for marine aquariums (used for lighting the algae in live coral) would this be a workable grow lamp?

You can use these T5 lamps for grow a Cannabis plant. You can have an acceptable growth in veg stage . But in flowering you will have bad harvest.
You can try and auto flowering and have buds for your personal smoke

Hey fellow grower :grinning:, it really depend on the Kelvin(color) and the lumens (intensity)of your lights (tubes or bulbs)…

For vegetative stage you’ll need at least 4200 Kelvin, ideal between 5000 and 6500 Kelvin (cool white). For flowering stage, bellow 3500 Kelvin, ideal no more than between 2500 and 3000 Kelvin (soft or warm white)

The intensity has to be at least 5 000 lumens, idealy between 10 000 and 20 000 lumens, for a better light penetration…

Hoping that’s enlighten you, fellow grower :grinning:
