Do you make the ‘damage’ at the base, middle or towards the end of the branch?
Does thinning fan leaves, pruning weaker ‘spaghetti’ branches or ‘stress-training’ create a supercropping response?

I try to supercrop at the branches where another bud site is forming. like this
I bend the branch up repeatedly until it’s a little loose. It’s then supported from underneath. When I’ve overdone it, just resting it on an adjacent branch or placing a support stick for a couple days pretty much works.
Just debating where to inflict the ‘damage’ and latest time to do it. Pretty-much done for be this season…
