Hlg is the original, I believe they even have the term “quantum board” trademark. If you buy from them you know you are getting top flux lowest voltage bin available. Budget led is a copycat company. They took hlg’s idea put a few spins on to try and make their product seem better and take some of that business. I don’t know if anyone has verified if budget is using top bin leds or not, I don’t promote their products out of principle. For a while and maybe still they were trying to say their 301h chips were a major improvement over 301b, which isn’t the case.
