A question from a fellow grower:
I have 4 out of 10 white widows growing. The,re in a burpee seed starting kit.
They came up in 2 days and were really looking good.Have not done much in the last 4 or 5 days.
Stems are purple and the 2nd set of leaves are curled and the tips are yellow
The,re under cool white floresent light .Can you help me. I spray them twice daily.
Purple stems is a sign of magnesium deficiency and the yellowing of the leaves is possible calcium deficiency and both are likely from the roots being too wet and too hot.
Sometimes; You may not need to spray them. In a warm hi\umid environment; I have seen seedlings in peat pellets retain adequate moisture for 2-3 days. Especially in a dome, and/or on a heating mat in a dome.
