Hey all. I know a lot of us live an area that is going to storm Eliott. I live on Lake erie and we are evacuating due to flooding. Anyhoo, to make a short story loooongggg. If power out for more than couple days, how will the girls react maybe. I have 2 in flower, 2 just starting veg, and 2 seedlings. Get out the crystal ball. I know we can’t predict, but a girl needs to know what to look forward to.

My Biggest concern is freezing. Plants will survive a few days without light, but a couple days below freezing will certainly do them in. Even bigger worry is pipes and water heater freezing.

We lost power for 4 days in 2021. The house got down to under 40°. The veg plants bounce back with no issues. I did put them by a window so that it wouldn’t trigger flowering. The flowering plants were just about done so I ended up chopping them about 3 days into the outage.
Moral of the story….unless the inside of your house hits below freezing, the plants will be ok. Main thing is keep the roots zone warm. You can leave the flowering plants in the dark. Move the veg plants to a window so they don’t try and flower on you early.

Thank you. We have to evacuate the bay by 12 i guess. The wind chill may get to 25⁰ below 0. I will get then comfy before we leave.
