The flowers look healthy and stems are turning brown. I’m not seeing anything in the support ticket that would help explain what’s happening. I’ll tag some folks that may be able to help figure out what’s happening. @Covertgrower @Hellraiser @Oldguy @Myfriendis410

My first thought is some form of borer bug.
But not sure. I may be totally off on this one.
It appears to be on all of the stems.
The circled spot appears to be soft and recessed a bit.

It’s on about half, including the main stem, and the stems are hard and dry.

I appreciate it. I’ve searched everywhere and haven’t seen anything like this. I’m close enough to the end that I’m hoping it’s something I can just push through. I’m watching to see if it’s creeping up the plant. In any case the buds at the top of the affected stems seem to be fine.

If supercropping was done it’s possible to damage the stem and introduce pathogens which will cause stem rot.
It would be very interesting to autopsy those stems after harvest to see if you can figure out what happened.

I didn’t super crop, but I did top once. One way or another, I’m going to inspect it when I chop them down. I’m just hoping the flowers aren’t going to be tainted and ruin the whole plant. Next time I do any HST, I’m going to seal the wound to prevent something like what you mentioned from happening

I’m sorry to hear about your plant.
From what I see, unfortunately…those appear to be signs of Stalk Rot.
Especially if there was a crack or snap on the branches. Air can seep in and practically dry the branches out from the inside out.
I’m not 100%, but it does quite resemble Stalk Rot…I really hope I’m wrong! Best of luck!

With me being so close to the end, do you think it’s something I can monitor, and assuming the flowers are still healthy, push through?

Not sure if that’s what it is for sure but looks like it.

Hey @Oldguy Hope all is well.
Great find!!! Just read up on Fusarium in Cannabis. It’s a fungus, that usually occurs in damaged open branches, that can be fatal to the tree.

Yeah I was thinking some kind of fungal infection or disease or a root problem, hopefully close enough to harvest to let the buds mature a bit more before things go really downhill.
