Sprout looks yellowish

A question from a fellow grower:

My seeds started to sprout from the soil but look yellowish… What causes that? What should I test for?

I’m using Happy Frog soil.

Are there nutrients in the soil ?
Seedlings neeed ro be set in nutrient free soil.
They have plenty of there own until they get there 4th or 5 th true sets of leaves.
So I’m thinging your soil has nutrients in it witch is causing your proplem.
What ever you do don’t feed them eighter …ok

Myself I would change the soil but first let me if t has nutrients. And we’ll take it from there…ok

Hi, Thank you for replying. The plants are looking healthy now. Might have panicked too soon. Only 5 out of 10 seeds took. Should I be using the fan now? They are almost 2 weeks old.

Thank you

Hey thats great to hear.
Absolutely add a fan turned down low.
This will help with the stem’s growth and most importantly the strength of the stem for later when she has big cola’s to hold up
