I suggest using quart sized wide mouth canning jars.
Bell, Kerr any brand.
I just get the clear as they are cheaper and I tend not to leave them out but use the real small 8-10 ounce jars for use.
Keep the big ones in drawers or closet or cupboard so they are already in the dark.

Just my thoughts.
Those will work but if you use humidity packs you may need 2 in each 1/2 gallon jar assuming they are the 8 gram size packs.

I use plain (clear) quart and 1/2 gallon canning jars. Also use 62% humidity packs, 1 or 2 depending on the jar. I also cover them with a 55 gallon black trash can liner to keep them darker. Once cured I use the Mylar bags for storage.
