I just split the trunk on a large clone trying to tie it down.
I immediately took string and tied it back togather nice and tight.
Do I need to tape it up purely to seal out air as best as possible? Or will the air be an issue at all?
Any suggestions on what I might do to it further? Just sending it into flower today…smdh.
Any advise will be appreciated!!!
The split is directly below where the string is, it is pulled up right and some other stuff added to keep it secured. Best pic can get for now, can’t really even tell it split…but it did,prolly got 1 1/2" vertically.

You could put a little honey on the split.

I have good luck using black electricians tape to wrap the break, then leaving a few extra inches to secure the wrap to another nearby solid stem. The tape is so stretchy that it will stretch along with the plant as it grows.
Honestly, now that you set it I would not do anymore. Like don’t go back and redo it. Just my 5cents.

It should be ok. Just leave it be now. I just tapem after pipe cleaner.

Agree with both @noddykitty1 and @Flitme . Healthy Cannabis plants can be very resilient. This happens on 1 or 2 plants every grow for me. I’m pretty aggressive with HST/LST
