A question from a fellow grower:

I have a problem, I got three plants that have this red stuff that is on the sicker leaves , what can I do ? A few ppl told me to put like one or two teaspoons of epson salt per gallon of water , please help me , I want a expert an a professional opinion and advice

Purple or red stems could indicate a magnesium deficiency, and epsom salts, magnesium sulfate, could help. However, often over watering – keeping the root mass too wet too long, and or pH could also cause or contribute to this problem.
