Soil nutrient question

i premixed my soil up a few months ago in a trash bag then put it in a tote, the soil drew in some moisture- would that moisture deplete any nutrients that were already in the soil

In my opinion only flushing would deplete the beneficial microbes. I would slurry test that seeing as you don’t have anything planted in it :love_you_gesture:

@kellydans gotcha. For the future a slurry test is a way to test your TDS and PH at the root zone using a soil sample versus testing run off. You take equal parts soil and distilled water, mix and let it rest for 24 hours then test the tds and PH :love_you_gesture:

The microbes in ur soil would started to break down that stuff and its not a bad thing anyway it means the nutrients are ready for ur plants to eat

I always get my soil ready a month or two in advance so the live worms can break down the organic matter

It sounds like a drink.

This is the most accurate way to do it, but you can just wait 15 minutes and it will be close enough to give an idea of what’s going on.
