I think I screwed the pooch. I put my first attempt in a gallon pot. I grow orchids and they do not like their roots messed with. I tried 3 seeds and got three little guys. It’s been four weeks and they are five inches and I feel not happy. They are certainly not drying out. In this size pot their feet will always be wet. Should I go smaller while I still can?
Pics would definitely help!!
Definitely want them to dry up some as well. Don’t over water especially when young that will definitely stunt them. Don’t let them sit in water it will mess up the roots!!
I have 600 W Sodium light and MH. What you see if 18 inches away. Hope this helps Forgive the newbie.
Do those pots have drainage holes in the bottom to let out excess water, if not, that would be a start. Also plants that young/small do not need a ton of water, better to give them a little, more often…
If they are autos then I would plant in bigger pots!! Clear cups are not good either there roots don’t like light!!
Yes they do and not planning on watering them for a few days and adding more air flow.
Interesting like I said I grow orchids and most synthesize sun through their roots system. Another lesson learned. I planned on reading more but my first seeds came so quick I got caught semi flatfooted.
