I was just wondering if the stem on this plant is too long it’s three and three quarter inches is that too long or will it be ok just a beginner I appreciate the advice I can get.
Hello and welcome, I am sure it’s fine I had 2 of then I had to make supports for for 2 weeks till they could stand on there one I was at 6 to 8in High.
I am sure you will hear from people that know more.
Good luck.
Yeah they should be ok. What kind of lights are you using and at what distance?
The stretching usually comes when the plant it trying to get closer to the light. Also as it continues to grow- having fans blowing air around making them “wave” will strengthen the stems.
Let me know if you need any more help! I’m a rookie myself but have spent a lot of time on this forum.
I’m a soil grower so don’t know much about hydro.
She should be alright, she appears to be growing at the right rate
Should be ok. Maybe lower the light a little to keep it from stretching more. (Depending on the light you don’t want to end up putting it too close and burning the plant)
My light is a 600 watt HPS/MH from I power. I have a fan going so they do get to move around quite a bit they seem to be very strong even though they’re long stems. The light is about 20 inches away. Thank you very much for your input.
Sounds like you’re on the right track! Keep us updated on your progress. Maybe look to start a grow journal!
It’s a great way to track progress and have other people keep an eye on your plants to help along the way.
