Should I thin it out?

This is the top view of 4 mainlined plants. I have already taken off the leaves of the bottom half a few weeks ago. I’m 2 weeks into flower and have alot of small bud sites that are being shaded because of how thick the top is. Should I trim some leaves or just leave them be?

Really the only reason to remove leaves is to improve airflow through the plant. Flower does not perform photosynthesis: it’s the leaves that do the work of producing sugars for the plant to flower.

I remove (selectively) older fan leaves and the bottom third of the plant at around week 3 of flower. Once again at around 45 days in flower then selective removal ahead of harvest.

Hope that helps.
