This autoflower blue dream is 13 days old today. The plant is short and stocky. The plant seems very healthy but im wondering about the shortness. Im growing in coko loko with 444 guia green and 284 mixed 50/50 at 1 tbps per gallon. 240 watt led with both flower and veg lights turned on. Running 18/6. My light is currently at about 22 inches to top of plant, should i raise it to make this plant grow taller or just keep on trucking? Thanks in advance! Cheers

U can dim ur light abit that should make it stretch or u could lift it up a foot or so

i would raise it a bit, nodes a def tight, my current grow i did the same thing by accident

welcome to the community. what is your DLI or PPFD?
Between 200-400 PPFD: This is great for seedlings, clones, and mother plants.
Between 400-600 PPFD: This is great for early to late stage vegging cycles.
Between 600-900 PPFD: This is great for the flowering, fruiting, or budding stage of plants.

Kinda what i was thinking guys. Im not capable of dimming this China made fixture. “This will be my first upgrade after this grow.” I dont have a meter to measure par but accourding to manufacture specs should be around 560 @ 24 inches.

You’ve got the right idea about the light. Is she in there with any other plants? Sometimes, you get a runt. Sometimes they grow out of it but I had one that I just couldn’t “fix”. I gave her a “booster seat” for flowering so she could be as tall as her sisters. She ended up being the sweetest of the bunch.
[edit] - if that light has a veg/bloom switch change it to “all” or “bloom”. Or better yet, upgrade.

You’re good where you’re at. You’re growing a bush of a strain so raising the light or lowering intensity isn’t going to change much. Come flower she well sprout her wings and shoot for the moon.

Thanks to you all for the response. This is such a cool new adventure for me now that weed is legal in Montana. We can grow three plants legally which now has become a new challenge in life at 60! So much information to process, maybe I worry too much and need to just chill and let her do her thing. Raised the light and if this things starts getting some height to go with her pencil sized stem she will be awesome. Cheers my growing brothers.

Depending on the height you have in your tent, it’s best to keep her short and squatty. Blue dream has a serious stretch on her

I am maxed out on my light height right now with it touching my filter and fan in a 2x2 mars hydro. I raised it about 4 inches and am now at exactly 26 inches to top of plant??
Should i lower it?

If you’re in a 2x2 you probably only have 4’ high tent correct? You should probably lower to 18” above canopy.

Listen to Bobby. Blue Dream will shoot for the moon and leave you wondering what the hell you’re going to do when the light won’t go any higher. You want to keep it as squatty as possible as long as possible, because when she decides to move upwards it’s Katie bar the door.
