They do have better prices on a lot of that stuff. It’s just a list that’s all for you to go by and you really don’t need everything at once to grow.

Wow, I’m glad I went hydro for my first grow.

4x4 tent - 60
4 channel air pump -25 my hydro store provided the tubing for free
Bubble stones -3 each
6 inch fan with carbon cartridge - 80
Buckets with lids from Wally World -15
eBay box of clay pebbles - 5
4x3inch net pots - 3
Pipe cleaners as tie downs. 1
Various screws and drill bits hole saw - harbor freight. 20
DIY HLG light 250-550. I’m leaving out the cheap China led. That was a mistake I should not have bought.
GH NUTES. 1GALLON 3PACK -75. No need for ph meter. Gh mixes perfect every time.

No fussing with dirt!

Its not just that but alot of the mods and people who have been around for a while see so much stuff and get various questions thrown their way that its just a more timely way to get desired answer. I know one of our lighting genesis gets well over 100 notifications and he just enjoys helping people understand lighting options. I couldnt imagine all the mods

You bet! @Sirsmokes right on as far as I go. I’ve yet to put anyone on ignore, but I’m also on multiple forums and doing the family thing. I’m always happy to help if I can, but not always the fastest to respond.

Don’t go crazy with the nutes. If you use just the basics you won’t have to fuss much with ph or ppm and still have great results.
