Shade the center of plant

Just wondering if anyone has tried this? So I was thinking I could shade the center of the plant as a way of low stress training. Let the leaves hang out of the shade so lateral growth will be encouraged. Maybe like a cd :cd: just above center canopy. Anyways any thoughts? Waste of time?

Hmmm never tried maybe a GD idea gonna follow

Always eager to try something new. Any pics?

I interested as well. I’d like to follow if you implement this strategy.

You try it and I will watch sounds like it could work

I’ll try it with the Tropicana seedling I have going. I have 3 blueberry autos going but day 22 look like they are about to start flowering. Shading any part of the plant at that point would be … can kind see Foxworth say if you shade during flower, here’s your sign.
I’d like to try and fill most of my 2x4 with this Tropicana so I’ll try. I’ll tag when I get some pictures

Going to call it encouragement training if it works. Or Caroline go towards the light training. Ok baked and full of ideas. Phone down

Someone should do the bro science to find out

It would be nice if it worked. I’m thinking about it more as the benefit of getting good light at the corners without blasting the tallest colas in the middle.

My guess is you’ll encourage more vertical growth, with an outward slant, in the shaded area . . . which can be trained laterally if you’re trying to fill your canopy.

I agree this is some grade A bro science right here.

@PadawanWarrior I would love to see some killer bud’s that you’ve grown :+1:

Yes growing toward lights will probably work better going to incorporate it into the experiment. Good idea

In a few weeks will update but there is Tropicana girl she is a real cookie.
