Seeds from males

in order to get the seeds from a male plant with out pollinating the females do I have to have a separate room to flower the male in ?

The males do not make seeds. They make pollen only. The female flowers make the seeds only and only when pollenated from the male’s pollen. So yes, if you want to make seeds without pollenating and seeding your entire females you do need to grow the male in a separate room that does not have any way for air to potentially bring any pollen into the female’s room. You need to then collect the pollen, the yellow powder the male flowers drop after their pollen flower pouches open. You need to store this in a dry air tight container and then it can be used to be carefully and selectively applied to one or two nuggets on the females that you want to develop seeds.
