Hi all. I recently started some white widow and pineapple haze from seed. The pineapple haze were planted a week before the white widow but they are yellowing and seem to be growing slowly. The white widow look green and healthy. Any idea what would cause this? I am using the same soil and nutrients for both strains. Here are some pics. The darker green are the white widow and the lighter, more yellow are the pineapple haze.

Pics attached. Soil is kellogs patio plus. It’s an outdoor grow. Water daily. Southern California. 5 or so hours of sun.
If You could fill out that support ticket @bob31 posted it would help us out to point you in the right direction.
You might not need to water everyday. You want to keep the soil moist but not to wet.
This is all i could find out about his soil which tells me that it’s to hot for his seedlings

You can’t expect two different strains to act the same, grow the same, eat the same, etc. Like if you had two kids, they probably wont like the same things or grow the same ways, or look the same, but they were both raised in the same house under the same roof with the same parents lol
Yes, they can have similarities and get on the same feeding schedules, but it shouldn’t be surprising if two strains grown in the same tent with the same nutrients still act differently, they are two different strains after all.
Sorry for the delay. I was out of town. Seedlings seem to be doing ok. Not growing extremely fast but seems less yellow. I started the “grow” fertilizer on Wednesday. I’ll give them another feeding today. Here’s the support ticket. Thank you all in advance, Eric.
Strain; Type, Bag seed, ILGM… name of strain:
4 “pineapple haze” seeds and 8 “white widow”. Both feminized. Not autoflowering.
Age from Sprout: pineapple haze is 3.5 weeks.
White widow is 2.5 weeks.
Soil in pots, Hydroponic, or Coco / Brand and type of Soil & Size of Pots: soil in pots. Kellogs patio plus.
How often do you water and how do you determine when to do so? I water daily. I’ve been watering regardless of if the soil is dry or not because the seedlings are so young. Should I back off on watering? It’s an outdoor grow in sunny Southern California so the soil tends to dry out often.
PH of water and runoff or solution in reservoir: tap water is 7.8. With nutrients it’s 6.5. I try and ph the water when I can but I was out of town for a week so I had to water using tap water from my drippers.
What is strength of nutrient mix? EC, or TDS: I’m using “flower power” fertilizer. The “start” fertilizer is .5 gram per liter. The “grow” is .75 gram per liter. What does EC mean? How do I measure it?
Indoor or Outdoor: outdoor. 5-6 hours of sun per day.
Light system, size and height from plants: NA
Temps; Day, Night: spring averages 70-80 day, 55-65 night. Summer can be 90-100 day, 65-75 night.
Humidity; Day, Night: we live in a low humidity area. Usually less than 20%
Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size: NA
AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier: NA
Co2; Yes, No: NO

I would let them dry out between watering/feeding again. They seem a little young to be using nutrients with that hot of soil. Just my 2 pennies worth
You’re over watering and shouldn’t be giving them nutrients yet until they’re old enough.
Thanks for the replies. When would be a good time to start feeding? The flower power feeding schedule says to start them on the “starter” fertilizer in week 1 and the “grow” fertilizer from week 2 until bloom.
I wouldn’t start feeding until after the plant was 12" tall or was obviously asking for nutrients, in which case there would be an issue with the soil. These strains we are growing are incredibly hungry and can suck up all of the goodness in your soil once they get going. Use the best soil possible.
