Hey all I have been very successful at making seeds now for the last year.
I have been making Auto seeds and Photo seeds.
my question is, after the pollination process and seeds start forming on the photo plants (on 12/12) would I be able to put them in with the autos on 20/4 light schedule to finish the seeds or do I have to stay on 12/12.
has anyone tried this and what were the results?
Putting a flowering photo plant at 20/4 lighting will cause it to go back to vegetative growth, known as a reveg, not something you would normally want to do, best to stay at 12/12.
Yeah as @Hellraiser mentioned would probably start reveging. And would not finish good at all.
@Hellraiser @kellydans
I Know that it would reveg I just wondered if the seeds would still grow.
it’s not something that I would normally do but I’m making Photo seeds and auto seeds at the same time (again not something I do at the same time)
my Autos are under a ceramic halide light and the Photos are under LED lights.
I wanted to put the photos under the ceramic halide light because IMO it is a better light than the LEDs but I don’t want to give the autos less light even though they would be fine on 12/12 for finishing seeds.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this and what were the results.
If I can’t get a confirmed case of someone doing this then I may just try an experiment for the greater good of the ILGM community and sacrifice a pollinated photo for science
The seeds will grow & mature even during a reveg.
Thanks @Hellraiser thats what I was looking for!
As I said I usually do a seed run of either Photos or Autos but I got caught in a seed run for a friend while my autos were already in the process!
