like 400 bucks for a basic one
I would love to satisfy my curiosity about what my lighting setup can do, but not for 400 bucks! Who knows though, if I don’t get back to work soon I may just start a small business making customized and unique home growing setups for people. You tell me what you want and I build it for you, in that case 400 bucks for a par meter is well worth it:+1:
So my monster crop clone from my first grow is healthy and now starting to flower again. I’ve got buttons starting! I’m on the fence whether to try and force it to herm so I can get seeds or just get one more run of this mystery bag seed.
I’d even pay to rent one. I wonder if you can rent em. BOOM idea… amazon does free returns. I’m totally getting mine

Week 5 of flower starts today
Watered the standard gallon, 5 ml cal mag and 12 ml tiger bloom. With an additional 2 shots of the dr earth plant food, ph corrected.
Had maybe 3 tablespoons of runoff and she’s looking good. A little traumatized from the net the other day I can tell, but all in she looks good.
Thought about pictures but really not much has changed to be honest. Rather wait till next watering, I take so many pictures my iCloud keeps filling up!
This little clone finally needed water again, now that she’s flowering I gave her the half gallon version of what gelato gets. Having a hard time deciding what to do but leaning towards getting some colloidal silver and trying for the herm. If I do I will be posting it for sure

Some pictures to show the progress, my big gelato is doing great, she’s thirsty again but going to make her wait till tomorrow. Week 6 starts Monday and it’s going to be cool to see this grow all the way through this time.
And a check up of the clone and she’s blooming baby! Seeing her flower they way she is has me thinking o a way to grow a couple different strains at once. Cut the vegetative time I give in half, then flip to flower. Smaller harvest but easier to handle and control space.
Looks fantastic!!
Training is so very important when trying to maximize yield! Really sucks I’m not any good at it
I just pulled the netting I struggled to get in place originally. Was just thinking I would raise it to support the taller colas. The lowers all fell out and no chance to get the net back in place because this bitch is sticky!! Improvise… 8 gauge grounding conductor. Wrapped around conduit side rails and slide up to support the lowers. Other than that she looks good, I had to raise the lights higher, I’m getting some brown burnt spots on the highest leaves.
nice! lookin great!
Week 6 starts today, she got a gallon and a half this time and about a cup of runoff. Used my regular feeding dose for cal mag and tiger bloom at 1 gallon but spread out over gallon and a half. That may only make sense to me, but anyway she’s getting heavy up top if ya know what I mean
Added some string across the top canopy to support the big ones. My first time growing gelato but seems like she might be good by end of week 8. I’ve got a few samples drying out now, give those a try in a few days.
And the clone, the other night my wife went into the room after lights out. I don’t see any impact yet buts it’s only been 2 days. That’s going to screw up my whole operation here! Well not really, it’s of no consequence. Just means I start growing something else
For whatever reason I opened the top drawer of my filing cabinet and found a surprise…
I had put this in there back when I harvested and forgot all about it. Pretty dry but not that bad considering
The weather is decent today, brought my clone out to the sunroom to get some sunlight on those baby buds!
I’ve got my clone out in my sunroom again today and I discovered something I did this summer that gives me protection from prying eyes really well. And I didn’t even know it, I replaced all the screening around my sunroom with a sun blocking screen. I did it to keep the room cooler in the summer, but as a bonus. When the sun shines directly on the windows you cannot see anything inside and determine what it is. All the while I still get great light Tony clone, free lighting and no worries of anyone seeing what I’m doing, win win.
So for anyone reading this and the few I know do, if you have or are planning to have an area to grow your plant using sunlight but want to keep people from seeing, replace your screens with a sun blocking screen
I will post the type I used when I remember what kind

Time for a watering and update
We’re 40 days into flower today, she got a gallon and a half today, just like last Monday. I think I can lock her into watering Monday and Friday, at a gallon and a half each time for the rest of the grow. I’m slowly reducing the amount of nutrients I add with each watering. Not based on science or research as much as gut feeling, we’ll see how it works out. Ideally Monday morning will be the last time I add anymore nutrients. I put her into a 6 gallon pot of fresh fox farm soil 8 weeks ago. I believe there’s plenty of nutrients still in the soil so after Monday I go just water with an occasional addition of molasses to feed the microorganisms. I want my weed clean so that’s the focus for me the rest of the way through.
Ok now on to my clone, still not sure I’m going to try to get seeds or just grow her and smoke her.
The main force pushing me to let her finish flowering and harvest her is because she’s able to flower with natural sunlight. My first plant flowered under artificial light only, if I can keep her under natural sunlight I can have a sort of comparison of the exact same plant grown under 2 different light sources. See which gives me more potent weed, my hunch is that good soil, good nutrients, and natural sunlight will give me the best this strain can give. How about a community survey… flower for the comparison I just described or try to hermie this bitch and make seeds?
And here is the view from the outside looking in
That’s a good looking little room you got there. I’m looking to stay on a smaller scale than that but just in the larger space. Nice handy work.
Thanks, if I had to do it over I probably would’ve just used pvc tubing and panda film. But it works, well enough to show me that growing successfully has less to do with what your growing in and more to do with how your growing it, or in the case of my first grow not growing it, killing it with rookie mistakes
