If theres no butane in the recovery tank then yes put a vac on that and the whole system. I put my whole system under pressure first to make sure there’s no leaks. Then I pull a vacuum on everything except my recovery tank, cuz it has butane in it.
Exactly what I needed to know. It’s what I thought but needed it confirmed. Messing with pressure and extreme temps can sometimes trump Common it’s not something I wanna “hope works”. Lol Thank you so much. You guys are awesome and on it!!

If my recovery tank is empty, can’t I just vac my recovery tank and crack the butane cans directly into the recovery tank using the liquid side? As long as I get the right gauges and use my refrigerant scale?
Or would this not work for some reason?
