Help, my tap roots came through my peat pods, 42mm, in one day. I was worried about them being exposed so I quickly cut up bunch of Solo cups put in some FFHF soil and then placed the seedlings into those Solo cups after wetting the dirt. Did I do the right thing? @Highwayman420
Yep! You should be fine with that swap. FFOF might be a little HoT with nutes for the seedling, maybe see some yellow leaves and tips early on. Just don’t over water right now and give good light for a few days and it should be ready to go! Happy Growing!
Perfect call. Also good sign of a strong seedling.
Thats what everyone here would of told you to do anyway so yah that was a good call and happy growing
Heck ya, You did exactly what should have been done. Nice job!!! Now just watch them take off.
@GrnyGrows I am happy to be part of your grow again and as @Toddr111 @Storm @Highwayman420 @Aussie_autos all said you did good lady! I can only imagine your reaction seeing that root
@CurrDogg420
You know me. I was a total whackadoodle.
I can get any seeds to pop lately - I think Im under a curse
How r u doing them. If u have a way to add a heat pad or a source of heat to help out the germ process it helps alot. I use a regular heating pad on med to med hi setting start off hotter and cut the heat down slowly til about med to low med setting just to keep all warm. Heat softens the shell but also gets the inners warmer so they can stretch out good
I use a dome with a heat pad. Paper towels on plates. Soak seeds for 18 hours, place in paper towels on a plate and cover with a plate. Set heat pad at 80 degrees. Vast majority germ in one day.
