Ok i have a 5x5 tent im putting it in, so my question is following the recommended amonys for part a and part b do your ppm typically end up where you want them range wise ? Or do ypu need to tweak it as you go

I generally end up right about Perfect ppm-wise. I end up at ~1050 or so, before microbes or silica or other adjustments.

Is that to high for veg stage? I need to read my notes on my forum to see where i need to be with ppms. Everything a little delayed damn near cut my thumb off yesterday sat in er for 4 hrs waiting to get stitched up, so my setup may be delayed a bit,

Correct.

3.6 grams per gallon part A
1.1 grams per gallon Epsom salts
2.4 grams per gallon part B

They should be mixed in this order.

This is the formula for the entire grow EXCEPT the first 21 days of flower.
During this period, your formula is

2.0 gpg part A
2.0 gpg Epsom salts
2.0 gpg part B
1.2gpg MPK

This is your MPK

Monopotassium Phosphate Fertilizer 0-52-34 100% Water Soluble Hydroponics"Greenway Biotech Brand" 2 Pounds https://a.co/d/01TgPVs

It will last a long time.

I’m assuming you’re using one tote for plants, one for reservoir. That’s how i do it. I fill to approximately 6" below the top.
I generally start at 25gal to be the amount i figure my nutes at. Then at rez change, i start figuring 30gal. All plants are not exactly alike. See how your plants are doing, and adjust accordingly. It’s basically 3-2-1 on the feed.
3.6. 2.4. 1.2. Is still the same ratio of 3-2-1, just a little stronger.

Do you have a water chiller?

So i use the top fromula from seedling thru veg. Up to start of flower so when i flipbto 12/12 ise bottom formula for first 3wks of flower.then back to top formula for remainder of grow till harvest but with just water on last week before harvest so i need to add MPK woth jacks atcstart of flower. What exactly is mpk i didnt know you needed external additives with jacks nite

Yes i have a water chiller a d was going to do two totes inside of tent(will always be same strain , same seeds) and a32 gallon trash can outside being fed by inline pump to my water chiller and back into the res, then out yo the 2 plant totes in the tent sir

These are outdated numbers under the JR Peters website/Jack’s feed schedule. They suggest 3.79/.99/2.52 now (A/Epsom/B).

I’m on the fence about whether it’s a meaningful difference but I will say I have noticed fewer P/K and Ca/Mg issues during flower transition.

@Graysin , Granddady013 suggested that I use mpk as you can see in his post to my question, do you also use that in first few wekks of flower or same ratio you mentioned start to finish just curious

Question for anyone who uses a chiller in their systems, will the water flow through the chiller without it being on, im asking because i want to run my system for a few days to check for leaks before adding plants to system. So will the inline pump push the water thru the chiller without chiller being on?

I do see that and it was an old practice when the 3.6/2.4/1.2 ratio was in play. MKP has been less necessary for me using the 3.79/2.52/.99 ratio because it already has more N/Ca and higher P/K with less Mg than before. It’s just a better balance and I’ve had no issue using the new formula from seed to harvest. Granted, I’ve only run it one full run, I’m on run #2 myself. But it is nice not needing the MKP boost during transition.

I don’t always do the 3.6 etc. As long as my ratio (3-2-1) is the same.

Yes it will flow through without the chiller being on

@Myfriendis410 also uses Jack’s with phenomenal results.
