When should these big fan leaves be removed from around the bud sites
Good evening. You really don’t want to remove fan leaves unless they are blocking light from a bud site or you need to make room for air flow. Your lady looks good by the way.
What if they start showing signs of any deficiencies along the way do you still leave them.
A few leaves show a little potassium dif.
You will have lower leaves turn yellow and drop off on there own. Hopefully you won’t have any issues with nutrients and your leaves will only drop naturally
Gonna start using unsulphured blackstrap molasses next feeding.
No some of those fan leaves at the top in the picture started to get potassium deficiency spots im gonna start adding more potassium. But should i just let them alone and dye off and the get rid of the leaf once its completely dead.?
And when the plant is flowering don’t those big fan leaves start dying because the flowers are taking there nutrition.
What nutrients are you using? Let’s tag a couple growers that will be able to point you in the right direction. @MeEasy @kellydans @JaneQP
And im gonna start using blackstrap molasses for potassium and calcium and iron
I would leave them, as they don’t look like they are shading any parts of the plant really. Even if you have a deficiency, you’ll want to keep those leaves taking the damage. If you remove it, the plant will eat up the nutrition from another leaf.
Sounds good thank you.
Welcome , stacking up a large cola. Plant looks to be pretty open as far as light penetration , I would leave the fan leafs for now.
Agree with @kellydans and @StankyDank239 . Think of those as solar panels charging your buds
I tuck before i take. A week before harvest every big fan leaf is sent flying
