Hi guys. I read that if your pistils are red, you missed the ideal time for harvest. These pistils are more purple than red. Or are they red? These plants only started flowering about 2 weeks ago. There’s trichomes, but they’re still small and clear. I would think it’s way too early. Maybe another month. When they say red pistils, they add “brown or red”. I’m thinking of the red of autumn leaves which these flowers are not. Maybe it’s just this strain that has purple pistils? The seeds were renegades I picked up from from a friend. I don’t know the strain. Any ideas?
No, you have several weeks to go. It’s the trichomes that matter.
Whoever “they” are, they’re wrong. Many strains have lovely red hairs. Poo-Brown pistils can be a a bad sign, but there will most likely be other evidence of a “whoopsie”, too.
You still have 5 or more weeks. Those buds will be gorgeous
They are pretty, not red hair like dying hairs so I would not worry
These look to be outside…
You could have a month to go still… or longer…
Those plants are still very young into flowering…
You still have a few weeks, minimum.
I’m watching the trichomes and they’re still milky not amber. This is an auto-flowering strain so what do you suggest I have the lighting schedule set to at this time?
Just keep it at whatever it is, now. You really do have quite a ways to go. That bud will fatten up significantly after a few more weeks.
U still got a while to go @blackthumbbetty got u buds can stall out for a minute build up energy then next thing u know it they all swelled up huge
Thanks for the graphic!
Awesome, thanks for advice. Just trying to feel my through the process from seed to harvest.
4 to 6 weeks…
Wow, that long still. I checked the trichomes and they are still clear. What do think is the best way to verify maturity?
I can just tell by the pics…
But if you get a 30× to 60× scope to look at your tricomes to know for sure when to harvest…
@peachfuzz Thank you! Off this subject but would like some thoughts on when can/should I begin fertilization on newly sprouted seeds? This is about 3 weeks after breaking through.
