Plant is in 48 hours of darkness. Took a couple lower small buds off bc I’m out lol just wondering if anyone has any good methods to quick dry for sampling. I know it might not taste the best but just try to smoke and it’s way to wet atm. TIA

I’ve used a small paper bag, like lunch sack sized, to dry a few popcorn buds as a test. Trim them fully, even taking as much stem as possible, then toss them in. Give them a jiggle a couple times a day so you don’t get a flat, soggy spot. They’ll be good to go in a couple days. Or, you could put them in a vaporizer on a low temp, let it ‘cook’ until the sizzling stops, and go to town. Super harsh that way though.

Also makes me wonder if the microwave would zap the trichs. I’ve heard to break it up the best you can. Put it in a cooking strainer (what you would put powdered sugar in to make sure it doesn’t fall out clumpy) and place that on a computer router, cable box, gaming device. Anything that has a fan blowing hot air out. And let it set for a hr or 2 and it’ll be dried for smoking

I’ve used the stove to dry it. No more than 200ish degrees

How long do you let it bake?

I just checked it every 5-10 minutes until it starts to dry then stood by stove checking often until desired dryness

I threw a bud into a bowl and set it out in the sun for most of the day and it sampled very nicely.

I didn’t go above 150 just in case
Harsh but not as harsh as being without and having all that harvest just sitting there

The oven wouldn’t work I cant get away with making the house smell like weed here unfortunately so i had to do the microwave.

I’ve used the microwave once…because I got in the lake with about 24g in my pocket. The first 4g were so good I forgot the weed was in my pocket and jumped in. Not my finest moment. It does make the house smell so good lol
My Maui Wowie plant was too far gone when I came home from a trip so I harvested it and dried it in a frying pan on low heat. It worked fine I just smoked some of the brown leaves and all the pain from my groin went away. I have a cyst. I am just wondering if the green leaves will have more THC in them
i just put it on a piece of paper and put it on my lamp while it is on, half a day and you can smoke it normally
