5 gallon plenty big enough for indoor grow as far as I’m concerned.

Like the solder joint is broken, or it has leads soldered to the pot and just wire on the other end?

Sorry, I was out of town… I would run them like 30” or so away and keep an eye on them and adjust height accordingly :call_me_hand:t3::v::bear:
