Question about plant growth regulators (PGR's)

A question of a fellow grower:

I have never used plant growth regulators (PGR’s) as I’ve heard to many bad things about them. However, I was recently recommended Tricontanol as a PGR that is safe & effective to use on marijuana. Can’t find any useful information. I’ve heard a lot of PGR’s affect the quality of final product. I’ve also heard mixed reviews regarding whether it improves growth or not.

What is your opinion? Is there a website you can recommend that may answer my question?

I would say all these extra addavitves are not worth it. I would just pick a good quality nutrient line. They will have everything ur plant will need generally depending on which one u choose. I use soul synthetics by Aurora innovation. Same maker as roots organics. I have fast growth.
