Question about light schedule

A question of a fellow grower:
After I cut daylight hours to less than 12 hours, and they are flowering in full swing, if I increase daylight hours back to the original 16 hour lighting time, will they continue to flower, or will they go back into the vegetative stage? Been growing Outdoors all my life, only been growing indoors for about 5 years now, sucks when you move to a colder climate! I realize this isn’t the growing for him but I really need an answer to this question. Thanks guys.

If they are autoflower they will continue to flower. If they are photoperiod the will revert back to reveging and will stop flowering.
