I have a dehumidifier that has a faint green glow that i need to use during lights out. I am in flower cycle. Will this hurt anything? Could it cause a re veg?
It’s not going to cause a reveg, but some argue that it can contribute to a plant becoming a hermie. Those that do use a piece of black tape to cover LEDs on such devices.
I tried to cover it but it still eminates from the top vent and puts off a slight glow. It isnt alot and it dosent light up the tent at all. Its just a faint glow at the bottom of the tent around the unit.
You can try to block it as best you can, but be careful to not restrict airflow. Doing that might create a fire hazard.
Rip that sucker apart and pull the wire, or tape the diode itself.
That guy from Utah that does all the videos, what’s that guys name???
Anyway, he basically says if you can’t read by it, it’s fine, but we Canna growers are a cautious lot, I get it
Bruce Bugbee
Wont hurt a thing.
Thank you everyone for the replies. While you were replying i was busy dissasembling it and taped over the light emitter diodes and corrected the situation. Like @Bubbala said we can never be to concerned and careful. Overprotectiveness is a good quality to have while growing cannabis…
Like @Bubbala said Take it apart… detach the wires from the led or unclip the wireharness from the led board.
I did it on my humidifiers. Was easy.
I did just take it apart and taped over the lights. I didn’t want to disconnect anything because i wasnt sure what powred what in there.
If the led has its own little circuit board…unplug it…you can always plug it back in if things are not working correctly.
It doesn’t have its own board. Its all one piece… i can experiment and see what happens though. But i think i got it goid enough now that i won’t have to worry. Thank you very much for your concern.
