Question about grow tent

Do I need to close all holes?

If you are growing autos it isn’t too important. Photoperiod plants need to have nearly complete darkness during flower to prevent hermi’s starting.

Yeah but grow look like lack of air…

I set up duct fan in my grow tent, if I close all holes, tent look like air-poor.

You have to have intake and exhaust air but generally you achieve an “air lock” with ducting. Some growers paint the inside black on their ducting to reduce light leaks. You also need air flow to remove waste heat from your lights.

@Myfriendis410
I do intake and exhaust air with my tent.

However my Temp is not hot, I set up light off from 12 pm to 3 pm to prevent the Temp is low when light off on the night. Now the Temp is 68 f is fine.

@Bogev5 looks like you have it set up good. I have my intake fan inside my tent. Right now it is above my lights. I’ll need to change it as my girls keep getting taller. The bottom vent is my intake. I have ducting attached to the fan and then it vents out of the top vent into the carbon filter. Good air flow and no smell.

If the sides of tent are sucking in…then need to open some more air flow …OR…use a speed control to slow down the vacuum effect.
btw…having motors running inside the tent make for more heat and less room.

I totally agree with fans outside of the tent. Don’t put fans in the grow tent. They create a surprising amount of heat. The ideal is both outside the tent with the carbon filter (if you use one) inside the tent connected to the exhaust. Small leaks wont really matter with that set up.
Don’t over crowd the tent either. I would stick with 2 or 3 max plants on the size tent you have pictured for photos. I have done as many as 4, but they were in 3 gallon pots and the yield suffered.

Because my basement stays cooler, having the fan inside the tent gives me a little needed heat. Your results may vary.

Thank you, but still need to control fan and duct fan to measure TEMP and HUM. Post your pics let me follow your journals.

my garage is little bit cooler cuz there is not air-condition, always night like 66 f.
