4 weeks since light flip leaves are getting lighter green leaf stems turning purple on some. Have used 1 feeding of Bloom Kaboom N 3%P-14%K2% 1 feeding of terp tea since light flip see attached pic for details. Have added DE several times for fungus gnat control. I live in Oklahoma and controlling humidity is challenging normally high humidity’s here. My soil is my own compost, added 10%perlite, 20% happy frog soil conditioner, wild Root organic michorize. .

I have them now on my northern lights and previously on amnesia haze. Not an issue for my plants at least.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid  My MAC plant has purple leaves and purple strips running up all the stems.

They are healthy in all respects. I think common causes are strong direct light and genetics.

More on upper canopy than lower so I suspect light

Agreed @beardless, lights and maybe lack in airflow/movement…:sunglasses::v:

@Arrow @beardless are you saying it’s too close to the light? And for air flow I have a 6 inch exhaust and 4 inch incoming with 3 6 inch clip on fans it’s in a 34x60x80 tent. Not sure how much more air flow I can get.

It is just how certain plants react to light. Not a big deal. And at least in my case it isn’t temp or air movement. In a 3x3 I have a 6" intake fan running 24/7, 6" exhaust fun running 24/7 a clip fan and a small fan on the floor blowing directly on the pots in back of the tent. Almost force feeding air into the fabric pots. Which actually is really good for them.

Phosphorus deficiency can cause purple leaf stems

Purple stems may also be caused by cold and a high pH which locks out certain nutes…
