It looks very professional great job…
I use capsule machine so you dont getvthem stuck in your teeth or taste them…
I think ill try to put them in chocolate or something, i have a hard time swallowing capsules
Mushi chocolates are a great way to go! Easy as hell to dose too. I used dove chocolates and melted them down and poured it into a candy mold until I had enough chocolate to fill 10 molds. Cool the chocolate. take 10 grams dried mushrooms and powder them in a coffee grinder. Remove chocolate from molds, re-melt, and stir in mushroom powder. Pour into molds and refrigerate. 10 chocolates, 1 gram a piece. If you intend to travel with your chocolates you will either need to keep them cold OR temper the chocolate before repouring into the molds. I cant do that part so I cant help you there but there is alot of videos instructionals on youtube.
Dove PB chcolate would be great for mushies
Thanks, i just book marked so i dont lose, im sure @Caligurl will help us learn to temper better, when the time comes.
Tempering is easy. I have instructions in my edibles journal here on entry 8
Oh, also all you need to do is find out how many ml each cavity in your mold holds and calculate how much chocolate will fit.
Example: 2 ml cavities and 100 cavities will equal 200ml
28.4 ml in an ounce
You’ll need approximately 7 ounces of chocolate
Hope my math was correct… my worst subject in school
Thats alot better then having to make the chocolates twice.
Finally for around to adding thise FAE patches. Pretty happy with the way they came out.
Theyre exactly what they look like. I took silver insulation and felt batting and made my own. Felt like 3rd grade arts and crafts day all over again lmao.
Very nice job on the ventilation.
Much appreciated bro.
So am i doing this right with the monotub for bulk spawn. Leaving the lower ports closed and the upper ports open until im ready to send to fruiting. Then open the lower ports and thats it? No misting or fanning?
Once I put it to substrate, I keep all the holes locked off, only opening and misting when it looks like the condensation on the side is drying out, then only mist the lid and the sides.
Ok i have my upper holes open and filtered the lowers closed and have tons of condensation. Havent misted or opened it since setting it to bulk. hoping it comes out alright? Im basically just looking at it like a spawn jar.
Plenty of humidity in there… now it’s just a waiting game. I make sure mine isn’t in bright light… find a very dim area to let it sit… not dark, just not too much light (definitely no direct sunlight)
High C02 environments signal mycelium to colonize and High 02 environments signal mycelium to fruit.
If you are trying to colonize a bulk substrate, I would have all ports closed until colonization is complete, then open the ports to induce fruiting.
The position of the holes is functional. Top holes allow air in lower holes allow c02 out.
Ive been out of mushroom growing for years so directions could have changed, just struck me odd when I read your post.
I keep my tubs sealed when colonizing. I take the lid off for fruiting.
Thanks for the clarification
I was under the impression that some sort of gas exchange has to be happening in order for the co2 to not reach critical levels. My lid seals and there is nothing getting in or out otherwise. Similar to using poly fill or a filter patch on a spawn jar. If thats not neccesary ill close em up.
