Processing hemp

Question from a fellow grower:

I am thinking of getting into the industry of hemp extract and had a question about processing the plant, if you wouldn’t mind answering? I read that 1 dried hemp plant (not marijuana) weighs about 1lb. I assume that would assume the stalk and stems?? In your experience, what do you find is the weight of the leaves and flower after stripping them from the stalk of a single plant? And I also read that on 2-5g full spectrum oil can be extracted from one plant, but does that mean from the dried flower/leaves of one plant only? I feel like this would be a good way to estimate yield when scaling up, but I wanted to know your opinion.

I am pretty sure u can use the whole plant. Most cbd oils are made from whole plant extract. Now as far as the 1lb per plant, that can vary depending on size of plant. I had one female plant about 2 1/2to 3 feet tall that was 2 lbs wet, whole plant. But only about 5 oz in dry buds.
I have also read that the roots have benificial properties aswell.
