I like to think that I am a relatively intelligent person… although sometimes I have my doubts. Well, 1st, I have 6 year old seeds. I chose to sprout my seeds in a Superponics DWC, rockwool, in a net cup, with airstones and a humidity dome. Saturday evening, I placed the conditioned cubes with a dash of superthrive on the water. Today, 2 1/2 days later, I looked in on them. The rockwool is soaked. I put the water so that the water was over the bottom of the net cups 1/8- 1/4 inch. The seeds… nothing. So, I took them, placed them in wet paper towels, and soaked the remaining 5 seeds overnight, at which time I will attempt to sprout them in paper towel and ziplock…
Any Thoughts?
For the record I have Bergman California Dreamin and Chocolope…

Well; germination may be a problem depending on storage.
I use Rapid Rooters (rockwool) for hydro. I’m not a fan of the stuff but you soak them then wring them almost dry just before dropping sprout into hole. Tear off a hunk from bottom of RR and cover hole with seed in it. Cover with a dome and mist the dome only twice per day under 24 hour light. Superthrive is great and I do that too.

Are they on a heat mat for germination in the wet paper towel? It may be an age of seed issue.

They’re not, but I can. I have one. BTW, I misspoke on the age. They’re only 4…

If kept cool and dark should have some live seeds.
You do want a little warmth: 78F or so. I found a spot on the cable box that does for me. You can run the seed lightly down a nail file (sandpaper) which scores the husk and allows moisture to penetrate as well as weakening the husk for the sprout to eject. I put mine in distilled water with 1/2 tsp of 3% peroxide which adds oxygen and keeps things sterile.
