lmao . the power of a comma!
This thread has been fun today, thanks.
In my vegetable garden where I plant root crops,ie ; radish, carrots etc.I always use wood ashes ,it keeps the underground grubs from attacking them.
@Gooch99 …Try one of those coffee grinders…I used one this season to pulverize my egg shells into a dust/sand consistency…I also had some granular mychorrhizal I wanted in a more powdery form so I did that to it too! Worked perfectly… In a “powdery” form the nutrients will perform much better…But I wonder if I can still use my coffee grinder for coffee beans now… …I think Im gonna buy a new one for that…
I think my wife has a coffee grinder that she used once or twice to gring bud. that was a short lived idea. ill see if I can hunt it up. Ive never added any calcium or mag to my grows before. I grow in soil so I dont know if it will or wont help but I figured a little couldnt hurt. Never adding it could also be why my plants seem to start dying sooner than many I see on here? (I also wasnt giving any nitrogen during flower do to me misunderstanding, so Im sure I starved my previous grows)I have a TDS pen I rarely use so I grow using mostly guess work. Not the greatest way I know. If I do manage to get better at growing Id like my routine to be as simple as possible. Not trying to reinvent the wheel. I just dont enjoy testing water and run off and I grow for enjoyment above yield. I just hate that my plants have to suffer through my blunders. Thanks for your time and advice

@Mosca Echo’s and nighmares from our past? Some Of my best friends speak Tagalog, Thai, and Japoneese, now. I know 5 words in Japanese, sadly after 5 years. Sadly wife would not allow me to hire young tutor for duation, unless wishing slow painful death.
Made numerous west pacs. Spent 14 yrs at sea, loved that sea bonus too.
Also those 3 rules, mine is still, " loose lips, sink ships"
Shipmates wanted to suprise me with SanDiego GF who PCS to DGAR thru PI and we (CV64) were

Did I mention, SD-GF in DGAR, what fun that was.
I have a few blenders, and a meat grinder that I use for non-food uses. No, this isn’t Buffalo Bill lurking around. I thinking that a ball mill will reduce it to a fine powder like the Gaya Green that went up my nose. Yummy stuff. A ball mill could take nine days or more for a good batch. Its winter, there’s nothing to do in the garden.
My wife knows better than to ask me what I want to eat for dinner…… (one track mind lol)
I am witcha!!!
Yeah Meloco1980…Give it a try…that’s what Ive been doing since I started growing…I try to get better and experiment each season…This next season I’m going to try actually measuring run off… I freely admit that Ive never checked my PH or anything…Other then flying by the seat of my pants and going by the plant and how it progresses…Ive been a life long gardener so I may have a hand up on someone whose never gardened or grew before…But My plants have been coming out pretty good Frosty buds…etc etc…But I want to get them to be better and better each grow…
I’m like you too @AL_GREEN I’ve never water to runoff (intentionally). Never tested my pH or my TDS in my feedings. I’ve been using Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect line tho, kept it pretty easy.
This year, an Apera pc-60 was on my Christmas list, as well as a USB microscrope and stand for better pics. So I will start testing feedings, just not runoff. Hell, I don’t even have trays under my plants! Any leakage only helps keep my rh up!
I think Im gonna give it a go this season…Why not…It may drastically improve my already good buds…Ill keep you posted.
