Based on trichomes, when do you cut your plants down ?

I try for 90% cloudy with about 10% amber.

I cut mine at different stages this year two were harvested earlier then I would have liked but still mostly cloudy one had some amber last plant I’m letting go for more amber on the tricomes

It depends on your preferred high. Of course the strain is the biggest thing that determines the high you are going to get but trichomes make a difference in how much THC and CBN is there. Here’s a pic that explains the difference in the high you get with the different trichome maturity
I perfect 80 cloudy 20 amber on indica strains and usually harvest sativas closest time 100cloudy as I can maybe a few ambers
