@JJ520 Here is my grow if you want to see what I am getting at. Once I get about 3 more weeks into flower. My CP will be a mass of leaves. I have only got bud rot one time in all my grows. And that was because I forgot to put any fans in a new tent. If you look at any of my grows. You will see super bushy plants till the start of the 4th week of flower. We all do things a little different. 
But stripping leaves that don’t need it are not really a benefit from any thing I have seen
