Portable AC with 'dry mode" good as a dehumidifier?

Hey guys. So I’m getting close to harvest (halfway through week 7) and notice my humidity levels are creeping up way too high during lights out, like 65- 69% High. I was looking at purchasing a dehumidifier but saw my portable AC has a feature called “dry mode”. From what I could gather online, it looks like this could possibly be used as a dehumidifier?? Just wondering if anyone has any experience using this setting? Thanks for all of the feedback in advance!

Nice @Konflict… so I’m guessing dry mode is basically the same thing?? How is it with controlling the humidity in your room / tent?

I have it outside of the tent in the room. Does a great job. You’ll get it dialed in. Like I know its going to be 5% higher in the tent so I leave it on 40

Im sorry I’m thinking about my GE dehumidifier. I did try the black and decker but it wasn’t enough. Raining outside and it would still be in the high 50s. The GE does the job with the 40 outside 45 inside. Does raise the temp but only by a couple Degrees

Yeah so I gave the portable AC a shot and just like you said, humidity was still too high for my liking. Broke down and got a dehumidifier yesterday and all is well! Thanks for the help on this one man, I appreciate it!
